Salvia Hispanica, or the Chia is a kind of flowering plant –member of the mint family that is native to Central America. The seeds of this herb are known as chia seeds and they have gained popularity in recent years.

The taste of Chia seeds is mild and pleasant and you can add them in your favorite meals.

How to use Chia Seeds?

You can soak chia seeds in water, and they will absorb a large amount of water.

Chia gel

You can also prepare chia gel. To do that you should add 1/ 3 cup of chia seeds in 2 cups of water. Then put the mixture in a fridge. After 1hour the gel will be ready for consuming.

Whole Seeds

Mix chia with whole seeds and grind them in coffee grinder .After that add them in your favorite smoothies.

Add it to drinks

You can add this seeds in juices, mix them with some fruits in the blender or drink it with cup of yoghurt.

Here we are going to give you some recipes with Chia seeds.

Recipe 1- Raw Rice Pudding


-4-5 tablespoons cha seed

-Raw honey

-2 cups almond milk

Soak the seeds in the milk and wait for 10minutes. Then add the honey and mix it well.

Recipe 2- Banana-nut Bread


-¼ cup chopped walnuts

-8 tablespoons ground chia

-2 cups vegetable juice pulp

-½ cup raisins

-5 bananas

Mix all the ingredients till you get homogeneous mixture. Then put the mixture in a fridge and after 30 minutes it will be ready for consuming.

Recipe 3- Chia Fresca


-2 teaspoons chia seeds

-10 0z pure water

-juice of lemon

-5 tablespoons ground chia

– 1 cup papaya flesh

-1 banana

-6 dried Turkish figs

Mix these ingredients and leave the mixture to soak during the night. The next day stir well and the mixture is ready.

Recipe 4- Fruity Chia


-3 apples

– 5 tablespoons chia seeds

-8 dates

-1/4 cup dries mulberries


Mix the ingredients with fork.

Recipe 5- Green Chia


-1 tablespoon spirulina powder

– 1/3 cup chia seeds

– 8 dried prunes

– 1 cup of water

Put the chia seeds, prunes and the spirulina in the water and leave them for 2 hours. Then stir well and consume it.

Recipe 6- Persi-nana Chia


-1 teaspoon maca

-5 tablespoons chia seeds

-1 banana

-1 persimmon

-1 teaspoon of cinnamon

In a bowl, mix the ingredients and after 10 minutes consume the mixture.
